Overview
Ordian Mail is a shared email infrastructure. The reputation of every sender depends on the behavior of all senders. This policy exists to protect that reputation and ensure the Service remains reliable for everyone.
By using Ordian Mail, you agree to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”). This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Prohibited Content
You may not use Ordian Mail to send, facilitate, or store any of the following:
1.1 Spam and Unsolicited Messages
- Unsolicited bulk email (spam) of any kind
- Messages to recipients who have not given clear, affirmative consent to receive them
- Messages with misleading, deceptive, or forged headers or sender information
- Emails with deceptive subject lines designed to mislead the recipient
1.2 Malicious Content
- Phishing emails or messages designed to fraudulently obtain personal information
- Emails containing or linking to malware, viruses, trojans, or other harmful software
- Content designed to exploit, damage, or compromise any system or network
1.3 Illegal Content
- Content that violates any applicable law or regulation
- Material that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Content related to illegal goods, services, or activities
- Child exploitation material (reported immediately to authorities)
1.4 Abusive and Harmful Content
- Harassment, threats, or intimidation
- Hate speech or content promoting violence against individuals or groups
- Impersonation of individuals, companies, or organizations
- Fraud, scams, or deceptive schemes
1.5 Restricted Industries
We reserve the right to restrict or prohibit use by senders in certain categories, including but not limited to:
- Cryptocurrency scams or fraudulent token promotions
- Multi-level marketing or pyramid schemes
- Illegal gambling operations
- Counterfeit goods
2. Anti-Spam Requirements
All emails sent through Ordian Mail must comply with applicable anti-spam laws, including:
2.1 CAN-SPAM Act (US)
- Include a valid physical postal address
- Provide a clear and conspicuous unsubscribe mechanism for commercial emails
- Honor opt-out requests within 10 business days
- Do not use deceptive subject lines or misleading header information
2.2 GDPR (EU/EEA)
- Obtain proper consent before sending marketing communications to EU/EEA recipients
- Respect data subject rights (access, erasure, portability)
- Include clear identification of the sender
2.3 General Requirements
- Maintain proper consent records for all recipients of commercial email
- Use confirmed opt-in (double opt-in) where required by applicable law
- Include sender identification in all messages
- Process unsubscribe requests promptly
Note: If you are sending transactional emails only (receipts, notifications, system alerts), standard anti-spam consent requirements may not apply, but messages must still be truthful and non-deceptive.
3. Rate Limits and Fair Use
To maintain service quality for all users:
- The Service enforces rate limits on API requests, inbox creation, and email sending
- Current rate limits are documented in the API documentation
- We may adjust rate limits at any time without prior notice
- Attempting to circumvent rate limits (e.g., by rotating wallet addresses) is a violation of this AUP
- Automated systems must implement reasonable backoff and retry logic
4. Technical Requirements
- Do not attempt to exploit vulnerabilities in the Service
- Do not probe, scan, or test the Service for security weaknesses without prior written permission
- Do not interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service

5. Monitoring and Enforcement
5.1 Our Rights
We reserve the right to:
- Monitor usage patterns and email content for compliance with this AUP
- Use automated systems to detect spam, abuse, and policy violations
- Review email content when we have reasonable grounds to suspect a violation
- Share information with law enforcement when required by law or to prevent harm
5.2 What We Track
We may monitor:
- Email volume and sending patterns
- Bounce rates and spam complaint rates
- Content patterns indicative of spam or abuse
- Blockchain transaction patterns
We do not routinely read the content of individual emails. Monitoring is primarily automated and pattern-based.
6. Abuse Reporting
6.1 Reporting Abuse
If you receive unwanted or abusive email sent through Ordian Mail, or if you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to abuse@ordian.ai.
Include:
- Full email headers
- The content of the email
- Any other relevant information
6.2 Response
We take abuse reports seriously and will:
- Acknowledge receipt of reports promptly
- Investigate reported violations
- Take appropriate action based on findings
- Respond to the reporter with the outcome where appropriate
7. Consequences of Violation
Violations of this AUP may result in, at our sole discretion:
7.1 Immediate Actions
- Suspension or throttling of email sending
- Blocking of specific wallet addresses from using the Service
- Deletion of inboxes and associated data
- Permanent ban from the Service
7.2 No Refund
If your access is terminated due to a violation of this AUP, no refunds will be issued for any payments made. Blockchain payments are final.
7.3 Legal Action
We reserve the right to pursue legal remedies for violations that cause us harm, including recovery of damages and legal costs.
7.4 Reporting to Authorities
We will report illegal activity to appropriate law enforcement authorities and cooperate with investigations.
8. Your Responsibility for Agents
If you deploy AI agents, bots, or automated systems that use Ordian Mail:
- You are fully responsible for their compliance with this AUP
- “The agent did it” is not a defense
- You must implement appropriate safeguards to prevent your agents from violating this policy
- You must be able to stop your agents' use of the Service if we request it
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP at any time. Changes take effect when posted to our website. Material changes will be announced with reasonable notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
